From your balcony you have a view from Althorpe Island across Investigator Strait to magnificent Cape Cassini. At sunrise and sunset you will be able to watch the wallabies and kangaroos feed. The clifftop is 100 metres from the house. Often you will see a family of Wedgetail eagles play in the updrafts at the edge of the cliff. The room, no matter what time of year is usually bathed in sunshine, a really beautiful place to sit and enjoy the view.

There are two queen size en-suite rooms with balconies and walk-in wardrobes and one double room with twin beds. Drinks on your balcony or in your room at sunset are an experience not to be missed. You can either have the pleasure of watching the animals, the sunset or the wonderful changing nature of the sea.

On a rough day the waves crashing ashore at Cape Cassini are an awesome sight.

The rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, a television if requested, port for a nightcap, biscuits and comfortable furniture.

The lounge is a great room. It has rammed earth walls, with a feature stone wall. It has a raked pine wood ceiling and a huge wood fire designed by your host, David. There is a large screen television, if you choose to watch it or you can sit and enjoy the sea views.

Enjoy eating in the dining room in front of the log wood fire. Pat uses organic fruit and vegetables where possible from the garden and produce from Kangaroo Island.

The island is famous for its cheese, chicken, honey, marron, yabbies, seafood and olive oil.

Also for visitor comfort there is a library and conservatory. The library is a special place full of information about Kangaroo Island. There are brochures and information books to peruse at your leisure, or novels and photographs to enjoy.

The Conservatory has many different growing herbs and plants, the BBQ is a great place to either socialise or just a beautiful place to sit in the sun and watch the animals come out to feed in the evening.
